"Hyot-to-ko" ひょっとこ is a traditonal comical character in Kagura shinto rituals ceremonial dance and Noh comedy plays.   It also translates as the "fire man". It has a puckered mouth skewed to the side, and wears a headscarf with blue and white dots.   Performer would wear a mask of Hyottoko funny face and dance in festivals.    Hyottoko is believed to bring happiness and fortune, so bring him home!
